Located in the heart of downtown Evansville, the Old National Events Plaza serves as the city’s premier destination for large-scale entertainment. Formerly known as the Vanderburgh Auditorium and later The Centre, the venue underwent a significant renovation in the mid-1990s to become the modern landmark it is today. It is a central fixture of the downtown district, connected via skywalk to the Ford Center and major hotels, making it a convenient and welcoming hub for visitors. The plaza’s centerpiece is the 2,500-seat Aiken Theatre, a room designed for the grandeur of national touring productions. Comedy fans can expect a diverse lineup ranging from stand-up specials to award-winning musical comedies like *Shucked*. The venue has a reputation for hosting major industry names, with notable past and upcoming performances from comedians such as Daniel Tosh and Rodney Carrington. Whether you are seeking sharp observational humor or a high-energy touring show, this venue offers a professional and polished setting for a night of laughs.
