Variety Playhouse is a historic gem located in the heart of Atlanta’s vibrant Little Five Points neighborhood. Originally opened in 1940 as the Euclid Theatre cinema, the space was converted into a live performance venue in the late 1980s and extensively renovated in 2016. It is renowned for its unique, intimate layout, which features a sunken pit, staggered theater-style seating, and a balcony, ensuring excellent sightlines and a close-up experience for every attendee. While a staple of the city’s music scene, the venue is also a premier destination for world-class comedy. Its stage has hosted acclaimed stand-up sets and tours from notable performers such as Judd Apatow, Fred Armisen, and Neal Brennan. With its superb acoustics and vintage charm, Variety Playhouse offers a warm, high-energy environment that makes it a favorite for both touring headliners and local comedy enthusiasts alike.
